Clifton View Camera

Date Introduced: - ; Years Manufactured:
c.1898-1906
Construction: front focus via
rack and pinion (two gear tracks on top of base rails) and
rear focus via push-pull; double swing; reverse by
removable back; three-piece lensboard

bellows; brass hardware

Notes: The front standard

tightened by a lever - two
different types of focus similar to the Gennert
Brighton, and the American Optical
Manifold. There is a Long Focus Clifton
model, which, while having two types of focus, and an identical front standard
to this model, has rear standard hardware more reminiscent of a Century camera
than an Anthony.
