Construction: front focus via rack and pinion (two gear tracks on top of base rails); single or double swing; reverse by removable back; three-piece lensboard
Materials: mahogany body; cherry base; black fabric bellows; nickeled hardware
Sizes Offered: 1400=4x5 (illustrated); 1401=4.25x6.5; 1402=5x7; 1403=5x8; 1404=6.5x8.5; 1405=8x10
Notes: three section base; front section is removable. This variation differs from Cincinnati Reversible Back, Improved, Variation 1 by having a solid rather than frame-style bed - perhaps merely a less labor-intensive way to produce a small base.  The lensboard rise-fall hardware is also different than Variation 1.
