Notes:  The variation illustrated here is merely that the back is reversible and held on by two clips, whereas in Variation 1, the back is held on from the bottom by two large springs.  This spring loaded back of this camera is undoubtedly not original and has been added almost seamlessly by utilizing the original back, and skillfully adding wood - only the first ~1/2" of the back is original wood; the remaining 1/2", including the spring loaded part, is alteration.
