Schultze Photo Equipment Co., New York, NY
NPA Camera
(made by E.&H.T. Anthony)

Date Introduced: - ; Years
Manufactured: c. 1890
Construction: back focus via
push-pull; single swing; reversing by means of a second tripod mount;
plywood lensboard
Materials: mahogany wood body; cherry base; black fabric
bellows; brass hardware
Sizes Offered: 6.5x8.5 (above)
Notes: This New York City company advertised Scovill cameras
in its catalogs, but also produced (or had made for it) its
own design Champion camera,
and apparently also put its label on Anthony cameras, such as this N.P.A.
Other than the Schultze label it is identical to the
N.P.A. Variation 2, even to the original
Anthony case. It appears as if the Anthony label
has left holes only partially covered by the Schultze label. This is one
of at least two such Schultze/Anthony cameras known.
