Date Introduced: - ; Years Manufactured: c. 1893
Construction: back focus via push-pull; single swing; reversing by two tripod mounts; ground glass frame hinges down
Materials: mahogany body; cherry bed; black fabric bellows; brass hardware; varnish finish
Sizes Offered: 5x8 (photos) $32.00 in 1893
Notes: This camera is nothing more than a Waterbury camera with a name-plate that says "Edgewater" slapped on the front. The ad in Scovill's almanac (reference above) is in addition to a "Waterbury Outfits" ad on another page in the same journal, and the Edgewater does not appear in Scovill catalogs. Probably the Wilkerson Co. (at the edge of Lake Michigan) coined the name "Edgewater" for their marketing of Scovill manufactured cameras.
